COLLABORATION FOR LABORATORY INFRASTRUCTURE ENHANCEMENT: FACULTY OF TARBIYAH IAIN MADURA AND INTI INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY DISCUSS EDUCATIONAL FACILITY DEVELOPMENT

On June 7, 2024, a significant meeting took place between the Faculty of Tarbiyah at IAIN Madura and the academic leadership at INTI International University. The delegation from IAIN Madura, led by Dr. Fathol Holiq, M.Si, Vice Dean, included the heads of three prominent study programs: Tadris IPA (Science Education), Tadris Mathematics, and Tadris Islamic Counseling Education. The visit aimed to discuss the development of educational facilities, with a particular focus on laboratory infrastructure.

During the meeting, Prof. Mohd Aldif Bin Zainudin, Ph.D., a senior academic at INTI, delivered an insightful presentation on the importance of advanced infrastructure in enhancing the quality of education. Prof. Aldif highlighted the critical role that modern laboratories play in both teaching and research, particularly in fields such as science, mathematics, and educational counseling. He emphasized the need for collaboration between institutions to share expertise and resources for developing state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.

In his presentation, Prof. Aldif outlined the latest trends in laboratory design and technology, noting the shift towards more interactive and technology-driven environments that foster hands-on learning. He also discussed the integration of sustainability practices in laboratory management, encouraging the adoption of green technologies and resource-efficient systems. According to Prof. Aldif, strengthening laboratory infrastructure would not only improve academic performance but also prepare students for real-world challenges by equipping them with the necessary practical skills.

In his opening speech, Dr. Fathol Holiq, M.Si, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome extended by INTI International University. He emphasized the strategic importance of the visit, which he believed would lay the foundation for long-term collaboration between the two institutions. Dr. Fathol pointed out that the Faculty of Tarbiyah at IAIN Madura has always been committed to providing high-quality education, and enhancing the laboratory infrastructure was a key component of this goal.

Dr. Fathol highlighted the significant potential for mutual benefit from this collaboration. He stressed that by working together, IAIN Madura and INTI International University could pool resources and knowledge to create cutting-edge educational facilities. Dr. Fathol also noted that such collaborations would help bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demands, ensuring that students graduate with the skills and competencies needed to excel in their respective fields.

The discussions ended on a positive note, with both institutions expressing strong interest in pursuing concrete steps toward enhancing educational infrastructure. The collaboration is expected to involve the sharing of best practices, joint research, and the exchange of academic staff to further develop the laboratories at IAIN Madura and provide students with a world-class learning experience. This meeting marked a significant step toward improving the quality of education through enhanced infrastructure and a strong partnership between IAIN Madura and INTI International University.
